Identity unfiltered
8 week group session
Welcome to Identity Unfiltered, an engaging 8-week programme designed to empower children to understand and celebrate neurodiversity. Through interactive games, creative activities, and group discussions, participants will explore identity, connection, and the unique strengths each person brings to the world. Each week offers an exciting activity to spark curiosity, promote self-awareness, and encourage collaboration. Week 1: Who Am I? We’ll kick off the programme by exploring the building blocks of identity: what makes each person special and how they fit as part of a team. Using memory and observation games, students will reflect on their unique traits and shared qualities, celebrating individuality and teamwork. Week 2: Who Are We? This week, we’ll dive into the concept of neurodiversity—understanding the different neurotypes that make up our world and how they make it more interesting. Through a drawing activity, students will create visual representations of neurodiverse traits, showcasing the beauty of diverse perspectives. Week 3: Inclusion and Exclusion What does it mean to belong? We’ll explore the feelings of inclusion and exclusion and discuss how to include ourselves and others in group settings. Using storytelling, students will share or imagine stories about belonging, sparking empathy and actionable ideas for fostering inclusion. Week 4: Neuroauthenticity This week focuses on exploring authenticity. What does it mean to truly be yourself? We’ll play a clue-based detective game to explore masking, code-switching, and recognizing environments or relationships that encourage or discourage authenticity. Week 5: Connecting to Your Environment Neurodivergent people often experience their surroundings in unique ways, sensing things like light, emotions, noise, and tastes more or less intensely. In this session, students will find an item in their environment they connect to and share how it reflects their personal experiences. Week 6: Concentration Different neurotypes engage with concentration in unique ways. Whether it’s ADHD logic-based engagement, autistic hyperfocus, or dyslexic strengths in auditory learning, this week explores how students naturally learn and work. Using music, we’ll experiment with focus and highlight the strengths of different concentration styles. Week 7: Standing Up for Yourself Self-advocacy is a vital skill for neurodivergent people. This week, we’ll focus on identifying personal needs and boundaries and learning how to communicate them confidently. Students will practice strategies for standing up for themselves in a supportive and empowering environment. Week 8: Standing Out Neurodivergent people naturally stand out for their creativity, originality, and innovation. In our final session, we’ll celebrate these strengths with a show and tell activity where students share something that represents their identity or talents. This week is all about celebrating the brilliance and individuality that neurodivergent people bring to the world. Join us for Identity Unfiltered as we celebrate the beauty of being uniquely ourselves while fostering understanding, inclusion, and connection in a neurodiverse world. Let’s embrace who we are—unfiltered!
Friendship Factory
8 week group session
The Friendship Factory is a dynamic and supportive programme designed to help young people, particularly those who are neurodivergent, develop essential social skills and build meaningful friendships. Through weekly activities and discussions, participants will explore different communication styles, understand the challenges of socializing, and gain confidence in connecting with peers. Here’s a breakdown of the programme: Week 1: Introducing Yourself The first week is all about building confidence in introducing yourself to new people. Participants will learn how to introduce themselves in various social settings, helping them feel more comfortable and self-assured when meeting new people. Through fun and interactive exercises, participants will practice introductions that feel authentic and stress-free. Week 2: Conversations – Small Talk vs. Big Talk In Week 2, we dive into conversations. Participants will explore the difference between small talk and “big talk,” learning that while many people engage in casual small talk, deeper conversations can often be more fulfilling. This session will help participants understand when and how to use both types of conversations to connect with others more effectively. Week 3: Shared Interests Week 3 focuses on discovering and connecting with others through shared interests. Participants will explore their own passions and learn how to seek out peers with similar hobbies or activities. This session highlights how shared interests can be a foundation for building strong, lasting friendships. Week 4: Empathy and Friendship In this session, we’ll focus on empathy—understanding how friends can show support in different ways. Participants will explore how some people need advice, others want emotional support, and some just want to know they aren’t alone. Through role-playing and discussions, they will learn how to be empathetic friends and recognize what their own friends might need. Week 5: Not Being Heard Many autistic individuals often feel unheard or dismissed by their peers. This week, participants will explore how to express themselves clearly and how to handle situations where they might feel ignored. We’ll work on assertiveness skills to help them feel confident in making their voice heard in conversations. Week 6: Understanding Other Perspectives & Conflict Resolution Friendships sometimes involve conflict. This session teaches participants how to understand their friends’ perspectives and how to resolve disagreements in a healthy, constructive way. We’ll explore strategies for managing conflicts calmly and maintaining positive relationships, even when differences arise. Week 7: Building Boundaries In this week, we focus on the importance of setting and respecting personal boundaries within friendships. Participants will learn what healthy boundaries look like and why they are essential for maintaining balanced, respectful relationships. Through guided discussions and activities, we will practice how to assert boundaries confidently and recognize when others are setting their own. This session empowers participants to protect their emotional well-being while nurturing friendships that are mutually supportive and respectful. Week 8: Celebrating Friendships The final week is a celebration of the friendships and social skills participants have developed throughout the programme. We’ll reflect on what’s been learned, and discuss how to maintain and nurture friendships in the future. Participants will also explore the importance of balancing their own needs with supporting their friends, emphasizing the value of self-care in friendships.

Discover Confidence programme
6 week group session
An online arts programme for Neurodivergent kids. It’s a fun, chill vibe designed to develop communications skills and build confidence. It includes games, improv exercises, drawing activities, music, debate and discussion. These activities are designed to inspire the students to contemplate the topic of the week. Week 1: Celebrate Yourself In the first week, we focus on self-acknowledgment and appreciation. Participants are encouraged to bring something to the group that they love or are talented at—whether it’s a piece of art, a musical performance, a story, or even a hobby. This sharing activity allows everyone to highlight their unique strengths and passions. Through creative exercises and group discussions, participants will learn to recognize and celebrate what makes them special, building a foundation of self-esteem and encouraging them to embrace their individuality. Week 2: Confidence in Groups Building on the self-awareness from Week 1, this session emphasizes the importance of confidence within group settings. The group will collaborate to create a large, shared picture, where each participant contributes their own ideas and artistic touches. This collaborative activity fosters teamwork, communication, and mutual respect. As they work together to create something beautiful, participants will learn how to express themselves confidently in a group, contribute meaningfully to collective efforts, and support their peers. Week 3: Making Mistakes This week, we tackle the fear of failure by redefining mistakes as opportunities for growth. Participants will engage in improv activities, which naturally involve making mistakes and thinking on their feet. Improv encourages spontaneity and teaches that mistakes can lead to unexpected creativity and fun. Through these exercises, participants will develop resilience and a growth mindset, understanding that mistakes are valuable steps on the path to success and that they can be a source of laughter and learning. Week 4: Trying New Things In Week 4, participants are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones by trying new foods. We will ask each parent to bring a food item that is new to their child, and we’ll try it together for the first time on camera. This fun and adventurous activity is about embracing novelty and the excitement of discovery. It also allows participants to explore different cultures and tastes in a supportive environment. Through this experience, they will build the courage to take on new challenges, fostering adaptability and a sense of adventure. Week 5: Understanding Your Identity This session delves into the exploration of personal identity. Each participant will bring a song or piece of music that represents them—this could be a cultural song, the theme music to a favorite show, or a tune that resonates with their personality. Through sharing and listening to each other’s selections, participants will reflect on the various aspects that make up their identity, promoting self-acceptance and a deeper understanding of themselves. This week is about embracing and owning one’s identity with pride, and recognizing the diversity within the group. Week 6: Helping Others Become More Confident The final week focuses on the concept of empowerment through helping others. Participants will learn how to support and encourage their peers, using the confidence they’ve built to uplift others. Through group activities and discussions, they will explore the impact of positive reinforcement and mentorship. This session reinforces the idea that confidence is not just about oneself but also about contributing to the confidence and well-being of those around them. By the end of the Discover Confidence Programme, participants will have a well-rounded understanding of confidence, both within themselves and in relation to others. They will leave with practical tools and a stronger sense of self, ready to navigate the world with increased confidence and resilience.
